The lockout was initiated as a precautionary measure because of activity outside of our campus and lasted less than 5 minutes. As a reminder, a lockout occurs when something occurs outside the school building. This procedure allows us to secure our building while students and staff continue learning inside the building while following our normal procedures and routines. Weatherford ISD places the safety of our students and staff as our top priority and we have several processes in place to ensure a safe environment for your child while they are in our care. We appreciate our students and the Ninth Grade Center staff for following appropriate safety procedures today. Opportunity to Change Learning Pathway for the 2nd Six Weeks As promised, we are now offering parents listed as Family 1 in Skyward the opportunity to change the learning pathway for their student for the 2nd Six Weeks of school that will begin on October 5, 2020. The following options are available to all families: • Families with students enrolled in the VLA may now choose learning at school • Families with students who are learning school may now choose the online pathway through the VLA Important: Families who DO NOT want to change the learning pathway for their students do not need to complete the form. The deadline to request a change in learning pathways is Thursday, September 17, 2020.
